Optional Places To Visit

2. Baguio – approximately 5 – 6 hours to get there, highland resort, waterfalls, etc.

3. Olongapo – 2 hours, nearest seaside resort, vicinity of Subic Bay naval base. Alluring sun, sea, surf, and err... San Miguel!

4. La Union – about 5 hours, great beaches and carefree getaway.

5. Puerto Galera – world famous seaside resort town on Mindoro Island. Get there by overland transport to Batangas and transfer by boat. Great scuba diving, ice cold beer beneath coconut trees at about RM3.00 each.

6. Palawan Island – another great diving destination, not far from the northern tip of Sabah. Return flight cost approximately RM420.00 from Manila.

Food

1. Western – most hotels offer very good western food at reasonable prices.

2. Filipino – available easily at most hotels and restaurants, should try at least once.

3. Chinese – there are some chinese restaurants like Phoenix Chinese Seafood Restaurant. For affordable and good tasting noodles and rice dishes, try the Chowking chain of restaurants

4. Korean – plenty of korean restaurants, prices much less compared to KL.
